2022

Winterthur/Mägenwil, 2 February 2022 – The Mägenwil-based commercial group Competec (2021 revenue: CHF 1.12 billion, 1,094 employees) is acquiring 100 percent of the stock in Schoch Vögtli AG (2021 revenue: CHF 30 million, 90 employees). Competec is taking on all employees of the business supply provider, which has locations in Winterthur, Aarburg and Basel.

2016 Another milestone is reached: the two owner-managed, independent companies Büro Schoch direct and Vögtli Bürotechnik merge to form Schoch Vögtli AG, thereby becoming the leading source of office and school supplies in Switzerland.
     

2012

The new web presence is launched with the e-shop and is revised and updated as early as 2015.

2011

Büro Schoch direct AG and Staples sign a strategic partnership agreement, which allows them to offer global supply contracts to companies active worldwide. The staff is increased by 10 employees.

2005

Büro Schoch AG makes the transition from third to fourth generation. In the context of Urs and Nina Schoch's succession plan, Büro Schoch direct AG is founded and taken over entirely by Thomas Schoch.

2001 Vögtli Bürotechnik moves into separate premises in the Dreispitz area of Basel. These premises are light and modern and boast a floor area of 2120 m2.
     
1989   André Vögtli takes management control over Vögtli Bürotechnik. New business premises opened at Güterstrasse 133, Basel, with large office equipment showroom. 
       

1982

The company‘s 100th anniversary is celebrated.
Construction of the distribution centre in Ohringen, the current headquarters of Büro Schoch direct AG.

1981 Vögtli Bürotechnik AG founded.
     
1963 Vögtli Büroorganisation founded by René Vögtli. Primary focus of business activity: sales and service of office machines
     

1962

Urs and Nina Schoch join the company. Conversion of the retail store. Considerable increase in sales and the number of employees.
     

1948

Purchase of the first delivery vehicle. Shipments of office material begin.

from 1928

Due to the world economic crisis the production has to be sold. Willy Schoch leaves the company and the third brother Edwin joins.

1912

Death of W. H. Schoch. The company is managed by Willy and Walter Schoch. Office machines and furniture are now also sold.

1882

Acquisition of the bookbindery and stationary trade by Willhelm Heinrich Schoch (1854–1912).
